Our Story

Who we are

Founded in 1972 by Jack McArthur, McArthur Tile Co. was built on the foundation of hard work, long hours, and uncompromising craftsmanship. With just a few employees in the early years, Jack instilled a culture of excellence that still defines the company today.

In 1989, Jack’s son Lincoln McArthur returned to Fargo to join the business. That same year, McArthur Tile Co. moved into its first leased building with a dedicated showroom and warehouse. When Jack retired in 2000, Lincoln took over as president and continued to grow the company while upholding its core values.

By 2008, McArthur Tile Co. expanded again—this time building and moving into their own custom showroom and warehouse, where they continue to operate today. As of 2023, the team has grown to 14 skilled employees, taking on both residential and commercial projects across the region.

McArthur Tile Co. is especially proud of their work on high-profile projects such as the Bell Bank Tower in downtown Fargo, Moorhead High School, Davies High School, and numerous Gate City Bank locations in collaboration with Wild CRG Architecture and Construction.

With a full-time staff of experienced tile setters, McArthur Tile Co. completes all work in-house—never outsourcing to subcontractors. This ensures consistent quality and allows general contractors to trust the team for reliable, professional results on every job.

President Lincoln McArthur sums it up best:
“The bottom line is making sure the owner of the project is happy. Quality, hard work, and dedication are what it takes to be successful.”
